OUR VISION
We envision that Midland will be a place where those who have experienced chronic homelessness have the opportunity find home for good!
We are striving to create a community that not only houses the homeless, but helps them to actually cultivate home. Our aim is to walk alongside people as they work to restore the four key relationships in life. Relationship with: God, self, others, and the rest of creation. More than anything, we want our formerly homeless neighbors to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ as well as the transformational and redemptive power of the Gospel.
Community and relationship are the fundamental solutions to homelessness, so our heart is to build those into everything that we do. We want to see people who’ve experienced decades of homelessness find a place to heal, a place to thrive, a place to grow! Our hope is that the relational environment we create at the village will also help all citizens of Midland better love and serve people in their own neighborhoods. The Village is a place for all of Midland to enjoy and we look forward to having you out to sit a spell, volunteer, have a meal with us, or maybe even become our neighbor.
We’ve built the first 10 homes, but this is only the beginning! We have 90 more homes to build and we will certainly need your time, talent, and treasure to pull it off.
Home is found in community with each other.
